Edwrin Valente’ Barnes Sutton

is a native of Columbus County, North Carolina and currently resides in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is the Husband of the former Nakia Graves of Chapel Hill, NC. He is a Pastor, Author and a Recording Artist.

Pastor Sutton has served in the preaching ministry for over 15 years. Throughout his preaching ministry he has witnessed well over 200 souls come to the saving knowledge of Christ. As a Pastor he has also witnessed collectively well over 300 disciples join the churches where he has served. In 2021, Pastor Sutton and his wife were led by the Spirit of God to move from the Bronx, NY to Wilmington, NC to plant The Sending Church. In such a short amount of time, the church has grown to over 80 members. He has led the church in great acts of community service. One of the most impactful acts of service was when the church abolished a little over $700,000.00 of medical debt in New Hanover County, NC , Onslow County and surrounding counties. On January 30th 2023, Pastor Sutton led the church in purchasing their own church facility in just 18 months of existence as a local church.

 

Pastor Sutton also serves as the apostolic father of The Sending Church Nation, with a campus in Kenya, Africa and one campus coming to Jacksonville, NC.

​Pastor Sutton has been graced to serve in many different capacities such as Adjunct Professor (Marist College; Poughkeepsie, NY), Mayoral Advisory Council, Tubman Terrace Housing Board and Pathhseo Soup Kitchen Board just to name a few. He was recently appointed by the New Hanover County of Commissioners to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council as the Faith Community Representative and to the Workforce Housing Advisory Committee. Pastor Sutton is also a board member of Kingdom Fellowship of Professionals with its’ Founder and Chairman being Bishop Michael Blue of Marion, SC who is also the spiritual leader of Pastor Sutton. Pastor Sutton also serves as Teen Director of The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina.

​In 2018, Gospel Industry veteran, Kerry Douglas, signed Pastor Sutton to BlackSmoke Music Worldwide, which is home to individuals such as Earnest Pugh, Zacardi Cortez and Pastor Mike Jr.. Sutton’s debut single “I Hear Rain” was featured on Kerry Douglas’ Gospel Mix X and is also featured on Mr. Douglas’ “Gospel Mix XI”. This compilation project debuted at #1 on the Billboard Gospel Sales Charts. His single peaked on the Gospel Radio Billboard Charts at #32. His debut album “The Revival” debuted at #5 on Billboard Gospel Sales & at #23 on Billboard Top Gospel Albums. Pastor Sutton has ministered on numerous occasions on Christian Television’s The Word Network and Impact Network.

​The man who bears the name of “Pastor” and a small bevy of others such as; Musician, Psalmist, Songwriter, Recording-Artist, Author, Preacher, Husband and Community Advocate, the name which he’d always first be known as is “Servant of the Lord”.

First Lady Nakia Sutton

​Lady Nakia Sutton was born in March of 1985 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She was raised in a family that was cultivated in prayer. In the year 2007, she gave the Lord full custody of her life while being assured that a life of peace could only be warranted by Him.

Lady Sutton was graced to marry Pastor Edwrin Sutton, a son of God, in March of 2013. He is a preacher, recording artist and a published author. Lady Sutton passionately and prominently testifies of his love and leadership to her. They both are a spark of hope and inspiration to couples around the world.

Lady Sutton graduated from both Winston Salem State University and UNC-Greensboro where she worked vigorously to earn two B.A. degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

She is indeed an Entrepreneur. She owns her own fashion and sells clothes that she has sewn. Nakia Sutton is a Wife, Preacher, Advocate for Education, Mentor for ‘Little Ladies’, Business Owner and a small bevy of others, but she rather be known as a Daughter of The Most High God.
